Stoner Story

My love affair with gummies and exotic candy goes way back. I remember my first time eating a gummy. It was an octopus gummy that was sold in bulk at my local grocer. The flavors were a mix of raspberry and blueberry, and I fell in love immediately.

While a child, I took my time taking the tour. I tried all the Trolli offerings and all that the Black Forest brand had to offer too. It’s hard to put my finger on a favorite, but I am a sucker for the sour patch watermelons.

As I have gotten older, my desire for exotic candy and finding new types of gummies has only increased. Also, my consumption of such candy has increased as I smoke more exotic cannabis, especially cannabis strains named after the candy I love.

Speaking of exotic cannabis and gummies, there have been a few cannabis strains named after gummies. Today I will be reviewing one that I have not seen to well documented on the internets. Today I will be reviewing Gummiez by Panacea Farms.

Background

Panacea Farms is a Southern California based boutique Cannabis farmer. With a couple of decades of experience, this once underground farmer went legit and is dropping the fire. Working with the likes of Compound Genetics and others, their current drops include Gummiez, Forty One, Pie, Purp DDV, Sedation, and Willies.

This is not my first time trying Panacea or their strain Gummiez, but this is my first time reviewing any strain by Panacea Farms on my blog.

Genetics

The deeper I dig into the Cannabis strains, the more I am taken aback by how many Cannabis strains I was not aware of. Gummiez is the cross of Peach Ringz and Jet Fuel Gelato. Now I am very familiar with Jet Fuel, Gelato, and their cross but Peach Ringz. ZOMG, a strain named after a very specific gummy, I had no idea about!

For further reference, Peach Ringz is the cross of Marionberry and Eddy OG. As you can imagine, the strain delivers on the sweet and sour peach flavor profile. Crossing the complex flavor profile of Peach Ringz with another complicated profile of the gassy flavorful Jet Fuel Gelato resulted in quite the strain known as Gummiez.

Appearance

At first glance, the strain Gummiez by Panacea Farms looks white with lots of orange hairs due to the resinous trichome crystals. However, looking closer at the colas, you can find the leaves are a deep mix of light and dark greens hues every once and a while, accented by a dark purple.

Aroma

The aroma demonstrates how the parents’ complex profiles come together so perfectly to form a rich sweet tropical gassy paradise for your nostrils. I feel like Gelato and Peach Ringz create a tropical foundation that many other scents springboard off, making the strain almost as enjoyable to smell as it is to smoke.

The Inhale

I saw more of the Jet Fuel present in the inhale, creating a herbal gassy flavor profile. I was also pleased to find lite cherry notes when you delve deep enough.

The Exhale

In contrast, I found more of the Peach Ringz and Gelato present in the exhale. As I mentioned earlier, the two married very well, creating a complex profile. In the beginning, the flavors went more in a white gummy tropical direction, followed by lingering gelato notes. I would describe the tropical notes as a mix of peach and pineapple.

The Smoking Experience

I found the smoking experience very enjoyable. The smoke was on the thicker side of things, complemented perfectly by a nice amount of expansion. I enjoyed smoking this strain in a clean bong or a joint to get the best flavor profile.

The High

I found the high to be a clean, functional head and body high, suitable for daytime use but great for pain and anxiety relief or a great way to stimulate your appetite.

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again?

Yes, and Yes. I was very impressed with the Gummiez by Panacea Farms. So often these days, a company will have a fantastic strain, but struggle with cultivating it to it’s potential. That is not the case with Gummiez by Panacea Farms. They delivered a perfectly cultivated exotic boutique strain that does not disappoint both in flavor and smoking experience.

Where can it be found?

All over. I bought mine from a delivery service in the bay but have seen Panaceas’ strains, including Gummiez, all over SoCal in both delivery and storefront dispensaries.
